In 1958, Jaime got drafted as the Spanish broadcaster for the LA Dodgers team. Initially, he worked as a reporter and sports director at KWKW. Consequently, after working for the Dodgers for 14 years, Jarrin became the club’s number-one Spanish-language broadcaster.
From 1962 to 1984, Jarrin broadcasted close to 4000 games over 22 seasons. Moreover, he broadcasted more than 30 world championship boxing titles throughout the world for radio and television stations in Latin America, including the Thrilla in Manila between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier.
In addition, he covered various major events including the Chicano Moratorium of 1970, memorial services for the late president John F Kennedy, and Pope John Paul 2 first pastoral visit to the USA. On April 7, 2017, Jaime became the most active baseball broadcaster. However, in September 2021, Jaime announced his retirement after the 2022 season.
