Bonang Matheba is a South African award-winning television presenter, actress, social media personality, radio personality, author of the book From A to B, and reality tv star. She is best known for presenting the SABC 1 music show LIVE. She has made a name for herself through her amazing voice and great presenting style.
Her accomplishments include; The first South African celebrity to launch an online reality show called B*Dazzled in 2011; the first African ambassador for the cosmetic brand Revlon in 2013; the first South African host of the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards pre-show and the first African to receive an E! News Special Africa on E!
In 2017, she premiered her own show Being Bonang, and published her book From A to B. Bonang has been featured on Forbes Woman Africa, and GQ SA. Matheba is one of the new cast members appearing on the reality tv show Young, Famous, and Africa season 2.

Matheba made her tv debut in 2002 at the age of 15 when she appeared in the SABC 2 kids show, Manhattan Fantasy Challenge. She later became the host of the SABC 1 music show LIVE (now Live Amp) alongside Tbo Touch. She gained success on the show due to her amazing presenting style. Matheba left the show in 2012. She went on to present other shows like Clash of the Choirs SA, Afternoon Express, Top Billing, and KFC Taste Kitchen.
She has also hosted various award shows including; MTV Africa Music Awards 2016, Miss South Africa 2018, and the pre-shows for the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards and BET Awards 2016. Matheba also co-hosted Global Citizen: Mandela 100 concert alongside celebrities like Trevor Noah and Naomi Campbell. In 2008, Bonang played the role of Nurse Seipati on the SABC 1 show, InterSEXions.
In 2019, she co-produced the documentary film Public Figure in which she also appeared. Her own production house called Bonang Matheba Entertainment was launched in 2017.
