Kali Reis a native of Rhode Island, is an American professional boxer and actress. She is best known as a former World Champion in two weight classes. In 2016, she was the WBC female middleweight. She also held the WBA, WBO, and IBO female light welterweight titles from 2020 to 2022.
In 2018, her opponent for the undisputed female welterweight belt was Cecilia Braekhus. Reis debuted as an actress in the American thriller Catch the Fair One in 2021. At the 37th Independent Spirit Awards, Reis was nominated for Best Female Lead for her portrayal of a boxer trying to save her sister who went missing.

Kali Reis Boxing Career
At the age of 14, she began boxing at Pawtucket, Rhode Island’s Manfredo’s Gym under the coaching of her mother’s friend. She will continue to train at Peter Manfredo Sr.’s gym after college to further her boxing career. Before pursuing professional boxing, she won the 2006 New England 154 Championship, the 2007 NYC Golden Gloves, and the 2007 Rocky Marciano Championship.
Reis had to sit out the rest of the boxing season in 2012 due to a terrible motorcycle accident. But she came back in 2013 and competed in November of that year for the WIBA title. Reis defeated Teresa Perozzi to win the IBA title on November 12, 2014, in Bermuda. kali is a trainer as well as a youth boxing instructor. Reis defeated Maricela Cornejo in April 2016 in New Zealand to win the vacant WBC World Middleweight title, marking her first significant world title victory.

Kali is an active supporter and activist for the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) movement. It was because of her involvement that she landed the role of Kaylee in the 2021 film Catch The Fair One. In the film, she plays a professional boxer who rescues her missing sister.
