Erwin Bach is a German actor and music producer. He is best known as the husband of the late famous singer “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll” Tina Turner. Turner sadly passed away on May 24, 2023, after years of suffering from several illnesses. Tina died at their home in Küsnacht, Switzerland, aged 83.
Erwin started his career as an executive in a records company. He later became a managing director of the European record label (EMI) Recorded Music Switzerland. This was the same company Tina was signed to. As an actor, he is known for appearing in tv shows like; 60 Minutes, Maldaito Amor: Demasiado, and Oprah’s Next Chapter.

Erwin met Tina Turner in 1986 when he went to pick her up at Düsseldorf Airport. He was sent by her European record label (EMI). Even though there was an immediate connection between the two, they became friends first and started dating later that year. Talking about when they first met, Tina said “He was another kind of handsome. Great eyes. So I got in the car with Erwin and my heart was bu-bum, already. My hands were wet, and I thought ‘Oh, my God. This is love at first sight.’”
When Tina turned 50, Erwin proposed to her but she did not believe him at first. After being in a relationship for 27 years, Tina and Erwin got married in a civil ceremony on the banks of Lake Zurich in Küsnacht, Switzerland. Days later, they held a ceremony at their home. The venue was decorated with 70, 000 red and yellow roses from Holland. Among the 120 guests invited were Oprah Winfrey, David Bowie, and Sade.
About three years later, Tina suffered from high blood pressure. This badly damaged her kidneys and she was eventually diagnosed with kidney failure. Since her chances of getting a new one were low, she started dialysis. Tina considered euthanasia and even signed up as a member of Exit. Bach donated his kidney to her and on April 7, 2017, she had a successful kidney transplant.
