Mike Holmes Jr is a Canadian professional contractor, television personality, and public speaker. He got his super talents from his father Mike Holmes who is a professional contractor and the most successful television personality. Mike Jr has appeared in several tv shows alongside his father including; Holmes and Holmes, Holmes in New Orleans, Holmes Inspection, Mike’s Ultimate Garage, and Holmes Makes It Right.
Initially, Mike wanted to become a firefighter. However, as he continued working with his father he became more interested in the construction business. Mike Jr appeared in his first tv show Holmes On Holmes in 2005. The show premiered in 2003 on Corus Entertainment’s HGTV Canada. He also appeared in the hit series Holmes: Next Generations on DIY Network alongside his father and his sister Sherry Holmes.
Mike alongside his father and sister also starred in Holmes 911. In the tv show, the three contractors rescue homeowners by renovating their homes that were poorly done either by shoddy contractors or DIYs. Mike Jr has also starred in Home To Win, Holmes Family Effect on CTV, and Holmes Family Rescue.
In 2016, Mike Jr partnered with Strauss Water Canada to promote their unique drinking water filtration systems. The next year, Mike was a Keynote speaker at Conestoga College Trades and Apprenticeship Awards Presentation. In addition, Mike showcases his skills through his work with various programs including; Skills Canada, Skills Ontario, and Habitat for Humanity’s GTA Young Professionals Build.
